作編曲家 / 作詞家 / シンガーソングライター

大阪音楽大学音楽学部作曲学科作曲専攻卒業。

その後大阪音楽大学大学院音楽研究科作曲専攻修了。

在学中より自身主宰の音楽教室で音楽講師をしながら、演奏家としてもイベントや結婚式などで演奏し、同時にカルテットやクインテッドなどのアレンジを手がける。
音楽の世界だけでなく、地元のFM局でパーソナリティーやリポーターを務めた経験がある。
FM局でさまざまなジャンルのアーティストの曲や、ジングルやBGMを多数耳にすることによりクラシック以外の曲も作りたくなり、 DTMを始めロックバンドにもキーボードで参加。
アメリカのボストンにあるボストン大学の語学学校（CELOP）に語学留学。
この時出会った先生の勧めもあり、音楽のジャンルの幅を広げるためにバークリー音楽大学に入学。
Electronic Production and Design学科に進み2011年卒業。
バークリー音楽大学在学中はアニメや映画といった映像作品に曲や効果音をつけるサウンドデザインを中心に学ぶ。
卒業後はボストンにあるBlink Musicなどでアシスタント勤務。
2013年日本に帰国。
帰国後は和太鼓奏者の太鼓唄七海率いるジャパニーズファンタジーバンドVONBON加入。（オリジナル曲の制作、Vocal、シンセ・キーボード担当）。
2014年東京に移住。現在は音楽制作やシンガーソングライターとしての活動を行なっている。

Satoko Utsumi was born in Hyogo, Japan.
Because of her father’s work, she lived in UAE from the age of 2 up until she was 5.
At that time, she was a student of French and British Kindergarten.
These experiences gave to her a big influence on her life later.

After she returned to Japan, she started to learn Piano at the age of six.
When she was seventeen years old, she started to compose classical music compositions.

At that time, she enrolled in Osaka College of Music. Satoko’s has entered two school composition competitions and both times had her work selected to be performed at the award concert.

While still studying music, she started to teach piano at her own music school.

She gave lessons tailored both children and adults.
She performed at some events as well as wedding parties, arranged music quartets and quintets.

Not only has Satoko spent time in the music worked, she also had experience as a Radio personality and reporter.
This experience ultimately pushed her to create her pop music.

She began to learn music technology for music production. During the same time, she even joined some Rock bands! After that, she decided she would begin her study abroad hoping to study English in U.S.A.
She didn’t think about long term study, so she chose to study English for a few months.

One of her friends recommended Boson, so she chose her school from the Boston area.
She went to study at CELOP associated with Boston University.
When She was a CELOP student, one of her professors recommend to going to Berklee College of music.
However, she has already graduated music college in Japan, so she refused.
Satoko did not want to regret her initial decision so visited Berklee several times.
Step by step, her interest came out.
Although Berklee is famous for Jazz and a very popular music school, she knew many more styles of music.
For example, film music, contemporary music, music business, etc.
Satoko ultimately decided to go to Berklee college of music to expand her music range.
She chose to major in Electronic Production and Design.
Mainly she studied animation and film music, and how to make sound effects.
After graduating Berklee, she worked for Blink Music and Komugiko music studio as an intern.

She came back to Japan in 2013. Between 2013 to 2014, Satoko joined the Japanese fantasy band “Vonbon”. Vonbon is a professional music Band.
The band leader was Taiko Uta Nami.
Nami is a professional Japanese Taiko drum player.
Satoko was a keyboad player in this band. They played a lot of Japanese fantasy music and had many live shows.
She moved to Tokyo in 2014.
Currently she is active as a singer/ songwriter, and music teacher at Piano Salon Jiyugaoka and DTM(Music Technology) salon Jiyugaoka.

Ｑ１：先生の第一印象は？
Ａ１：明るい先生です！

Ｑ２：先生のお人柄は？
Ａ: カラっとした性格の先生という印象です。

Ｑ３：ここの教室を選んだきっかけは？
Ａ３：自分が女性なので、同じ女性の先生に習いたくてここを選びました。

Ｑ４：アクセス環境（交通の便）はどうですか？
Ａ４：私が溝の口に住んでいるので、電車で10分、駅から徒歩で数分です。アクセスはしやすいです。

Ｑ５：教室の雰囲気はどうですか？
Ａ５：DTMのお部屋は機材がたくさん。グランドピアノの部屋は、とてもスッキリです！

Ｑ６：レッスン中の雰囲気はどんな感じですか？
Ａ６：毎週私が用意している質問に対して、丁寧に説明していただいております。

Ｑ７：先生の特徴を一つあげるとしたら？
A7：国際色豊かな経歴！

Ｑ８：今どのような曲を練習していますか？
Ａ８：自作曲をみていただいています。あとは譜面の書き方。

Ｑ９：今後どのような曲を作ってみたいですか？
Ａ９：今はポップスを作っているので、将来はオーケストラとかも作ってみたいです！
